In 1977, at the dawn of criminological psychology and criminal profiling within the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench, with the help of psychologist Wendy Carr, interviewed several serial killers across the United States. Together, they will try to identify the personalities of many murderers in order to acquire the knowledge necessary to advance research in behavioural sciences and criminology, as well as to solve criminal cases.
