Steven Craig Zahler (born January 23, 1973 in Miami, Florida) is an American novelist, screenwriter, film director, cinematographer, and musician, best known for his idiosyncratic work in the exploitation, crime and horror genres, including his critically acclaimed films "Bone Tomahawk" (2015), "Brawl in Cell Block 99" (2017), and "Dragged Across Concrete" (2018).
