Aleksandar Davić was a Serbian film director and screenwriter. His works examined avant-garde and neoavant-garde artistic practices. He graduated in film and theater directing at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. He directed music and experimental video works and documentaries, and many music videos for popular Yugoslav rock bands. His feature film "The Party" won the award for the best screenplay in Serbia in 2005. He was a professor at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and a professor of digital video at the Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Arts in Belgrade. He died of bladder cancer in 2020 in Belgrade.
