Magnus Gertten

Magnus Gösta Gertten (born 6 December, 1953; Limhamn, Sweden) is a Swedish documentary film director, producer and screenwriter. He is the brother of documentary filmmaker Fredrik Gertten. In his youth, Gertten was a member of the rock band Sieben Slips. He worked for several years as a television and radio journalist before turning to filmmaking in 1998. He has made a total of 15 documentaries for Swedish and international television which have been broadcast and screened at festivals in more than 60 different countries and won numerous awards. He works as a director, producer, narrative consultant and adviser for his film production company Auto Images.
