Chiang Hsiu-Chiung Taiwanese director, screenwriter and actress. Chiang studied theater and screenwriting at the Taipei National University of the Arts. Chiang then trained under Taiwanese master directors Hou Hsiao-hsien and Edward Yang. She was nominated for a Golden Horse Awards in the best supporting actress category for her work in the 1991 film A Brighter Summer Day.
