Born in the United Kingdom in 1983. Louis Henderson holds a First-Class Honors degree in Film and Video from London College of Communication (2004–2007), a diploma from Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains in Tourcoing/France (2011–2013), and a Superior Diploma in Research in Art (DSRA) from the European School of Visual Arts in Angoulême-Poitiers/France (2013–2016). Henderson is a co-founding member of the transnational collective The Living and the Dead Ensemble, whose first feature film Ouvertures received a FIPRESCI Special Mention in the Forum section at the 70th Berlinale and won the Jury Prize at the 38th Torino Film Festival. The collective presented a solo exhibition at the Badischer Kunstverein in Karlsruhe/Germany (2022), video installations at the 15th Sharjah Biennial in Sharjah/UAE (2023) and the 35th São Paulo Biennial in São Paulo/Brazil (2023), as well as theater performances at Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels/Belgium (2022) and The Serpentine Gallery in London/United Kingdom (2023). In 2024, Henderson received a production grant from the Fondation des Artistes in Paris/France for his current project, The Infinite Rehearsal. Louis Henderson currently resides in Paris.
