Michael Ferguson (14 June 1937 — 4 October 2021) was an English director who worked primarily in television. He is best known for his work on such series as Doctor Who (serving as one of few to work on three consecutive eras, directing one First Doctor serial, one Second Doctor serial, and two Third Doctor serials), Casualty, and EastEnders. Ferguson served as executive producer of the latter from 1989 to 1991, and is credited with revitalising the show.
