Christiane Rorato (September 8, 1943 – April 1, 2023) was a French actress and director. She has performed numerous roles in classical and contemporary theater, particularly in the works of Seán O'Casey. She has also appeared in numerous films, including those by René Allio (A Rude journée pour la Reine) and Josée Dayan. In 1998, she directed her first film about the miners of La Mure, Debout dans ce siècle anthracite (Standing in this anthracite century). She then developed a passion for Friuli, where she directed a series of documentaries, the most recent of which, Les oubliés du Transsibérien (The Forgotten of the Trans-Siberian), was released in 2017.
