José Antonio Romero

José Antonio Romero is a producer, director, and screenwriter from La Rioja, Spain. He wrote and directed Flores en la basura (2013), a documentary feature which received eight Goya Award nominations and was selected for the Málaga and San Sebastián Film Festivals. His main fiction productions include the remake Se buscan Fulmontis (1999), winner of the Audience Award at the Málaga Film Festival; Buñuel and the Table of King Solomon (2001), directed by Carlos Saura and selected for the Cannes and San Sebastián Film Festivals; and The Weakness of the Bolshevik (2003), Maria Valverde's first feature film.
