Johnny Rey Diaz is an award-winning Latino actor and filmmaker. His recent projects include co-writing and directing the independent pilot, SON OF A BIKRAM, which was recently selected to world premiere at SXSW in 2026. His previous film, MIRACLE WOOD, premiered at SeriesFest 2024, winning the Audience Award and Best Late Night, and was an official selection of the Academy Award–qualifying Nashville Film Festival. He also co-directed and produced the episodic pilot PUNCHER'S CHANCE, winner of the Caz Matthews Award at SeriesFest 2023 and now streaming on Amazon and Tubi. As an actor, Johnny was a series regular on Amazon’s single-cam comedy PRIMO, produced by Michael Schur and Shea Serrano, and has appeared in numerous television series including the Emmy-nominated PAM & TOMMY, NARCOS: MEXICO, and GREY'S ANATOMY.
