Melina León is the director, co-writer, and producer of Song Without a Name (Director’s Fortnight, Cannes 2019), Peru’s submission for the Oscars. The film has premiered at over one hundred international film festivals and won more than forty awards, including Best Film at the Stockholm International Film Festival and the Montreal World Film Festival, Best Emerging Director at the Munich International Film Festival, Best Director at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, and many more. She holds an MFA in Film Directing from Columbia University, New York.
