Rod Demery

Rodney L. Demery is an American retired homicide detective as well as TV Host and author. He served 14 years as a detective in the violent crimes unit of the Shreveport Police Department, with an unprecedented 100% confession and solve rate as lead investigator. His law enforcement career includes investigations in the following areas: sex crimes, burglary and armed robbery, and narcotics. He is also known for his role as the TV host and narrator on the true crime series Murder Chose Me. He is a certified and experienced hostage negotiator. S.W.A.T. certified, he has done extensive undercover work. The 25-year law enforcement veteran also is a distinguished firearms expert, a certified investigator of officer-involved shootings, and has military police and corrections certification. He holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Louisiana State University and is a United States Navy war veteran of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.
