Merle Collet is a German actress and author who grew up in Lingen an der Ems. At the age of 14, she was runner-up in the German tap dance championship in the "small group" category. Merle Collet graduated from Johanneum grammar school in Lingen in 2006 and moved to Hamburg in the same year to complete her dance, singing and acting training at the Stage School of Music, Dance and Drama from 2006 to 2009. During her three-year training, she already appeared in various productions on Hamburg stages and made several short films. In 2011, she moved to Berlin to study literature and art history at the Humboldt University. She writes as a freelance journalist for the Berlin section of the Tagesspiegel. She also works as a freelance author for various TV formats and as a screenwriter. She writes for Bayerischer Rundfunk for the TV show "Ringlstetter", among others.
