Emma Hough Hobbs is an Australian film director, screenwriter, and production designer. Emma Hough Hobbs studied at Flinders University and was recognized as an inspiring young director at the 2018 Fleurieu Film Festival. She initially worked primarily as a set decorator, production designer, and prop master on various short and feature film productions, including *Gold*, *Carnifex*, and *Talk to Me*. Together with Leela Varghese, she created the animated film *Lesbian Space Princess*, which screened in the Panorama section at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival and was awarded the Teddy Award. Hobbs is openly lesbian and collaborates regularly with Varghese.
