Jan Mikael Håfstrom, born 1 July 1960 in Lund, is a Swedish director and screenwriter. Håfstrom studied film in Stockholm and New York. After graduation, he worked as an assistant director on the Swedish channel, SVT 1 and as a screenwriter. He was awarded a Guldbaggegatan 2002 screenplay "Leva Livet". He is best known for the 2003 film Evil, and the movie adaptation of Stephen King's short story 1408.
