Evan Materne

Having landed his first film audition and role at the age of 5 years old, Evan has spent much of his young life working on film sets in primarily student, independent, and competitive race productions. He has also appeared in commercials, print, and theater performances. Evan has logged many hours of on-camera acting training, volunteered his time at film festivals, and acquired skills through internships. He attended high school in a gifted and talented magnet program at North East School of the Arts (NESA) in San Antonio, Texas. As a Cinema major, he was able to gain hands on experience on the other side of the camera as a cinematographer, director, and editor. While exploring his passion for film, Evan was also an accomplished award winning athlete and aspiring musician. When not on a film set, one would most likely have found Evan competing for his varsity swim team or jamming out on the guitar. He managed to maintain a high level of academic excellence and graduated Summa Cum Laude with multiple scholarships. This success led him to The University of Texas at Austin where he is a proud member of the Moody College of Communication class 2023 pursuing a Radio, Television, Film degree.
