Beniqno

Beniqno is an Indonesian Minang pop and dangdut singer who started his career at a modeling competition in Padang, West Sumatra. His singing career began with his involvement as a video clip model for Indonesian dangdut singers such as Elvy Sukaesih, Camelia Malik, and Iyeth Bustami. Then he was trusted to be the host of the "Indosiar Dangdut Contest" (Kondangin), one of the popular Indonesian dangdut singers talent shows in 2005-2006. Since his involvement in this event, Beniqno began to frequently appear on various television shows singing dangdut songs and decided to leave the world of soap operas which had made his name famous. In 2011 and 2013, Beniqno won the best contemporary male dangdut singer award at Indonesia's biggest music awards, the AMI Awards.
