Seamus Gibney
Seamus Gibney is a writer, actor, director, and composer based in Calgary, Alberta. In 2024, Seamus started "pinewick productions". His debut short film, "easy on the turns" follows two characters—Matt and Jay—on a hazy, grainy, slow burning late-night road trip with a trunk full of "Stu’s" belongings. An exploration of memory, maturity and what we leave behind. "easy on the turns" was written and mostly filmed when Seamus was nineteen in the summer of 2024. Nearly all of principal photography was completed in that summer except for the final shot of the film. This shot had to be postponed a full year due to the surprise of snowy weather, with reshoots following the next year. The film ended production in late January, 2026. His collaboration with Miranda Firmston, an interdisciplinary media artist based in Vancouver, BC, has led to this films beautiful, haunting score. The film also features an original song by Victoria based artist Sienna Hill (Connell Neill).
