James Dew Hall (pronounced "Doo-Hawl") is an African American filmmaker, editor, composer, and sound designer specializing in narrative, experimental, and documentary work. Beginning his creative career in the 2010s, he created independent short films, animations, and sketches before expanding his practice while studying Cinema at VCUarts. His films blend genre experimentation with stories that explore the human condition through diverse perspectives and experiences.
