Miko Biong is a filmmaker from Marikina and a graduate of the University of the Philippines Film Institute. They produced Ang Alamat Kung Bakit Kalabaw Lang ang Tumatanda (2024) - an official selection of the 36th Gawad CCP Para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video, Champ Green (2025) - Best Short Film at Puregold Cinepanalo 2025, and Coding Si Papa (2025)- Special Mention at SineKabataan Short Film Festival 2025. Their debut short film, Bahay, Baboy, Bagyo (When the Pigs Storm Our Houses), premiered at the The Manila Film Festival 2025, won Best Short Film at the 12th ActiveVista Human Rights Film Festival, and was named one of Rappler’s Best Films of 2024. Biong believes cinema should go beyond entertainment to foster social and political engagement.
