Jay Sulli

Jay Sulli was the first play-by-play announcer for ECW's first television show in 1993. At the time it was simply called Eastern Championship Wrestling. He was joined by Stevie Wonderful on color commentary. Sulli got the announcer job because he was a big wrestling fan who just happened to have a big booming voice. His friend, and ECW's first sound technician Stevie Wonderful, arranged for him to get the job. His tenure as ECW announcer lasted from when to show began in April 1993 to September 1993 when he was replaced by Joey Styles.
