Levan Birkadze was born in 1992 in Tbilisi, Georgia. From a young age, he was drawn to cinema and actively created short films and video projects with his brother and friends. In 2009, he enrolled in the Faculty of Finance at the Black Sea International University and later earned a master’s degree in Marketing from the same institution. After completing his studies, Levan returned to his first passion—filmmaking—and turned it into a profession. In 2022, he completed a three-month program at the Georgian-American Film Academy, where he directed his first auteur film and served as cinematographer on four projects. He has since participated in the Caucasus Cinema and Cinemadamare programs, directing six films, serving as cinematographer on seven, and acting in around ten films. Levan’s work combines technical skill, creative vision, and an experimental approach, establishing him to create films very efficiently with low budgets.
