Rae Dastoor

I grew up in Duluth, MN. A town known for its humbling and character-building winters :) As an actress of mixed ethnicity, diverse representation is extremely important to me in my creative process. I aspire to make art that is inclusive and reflects the diversity of the people who will be watching it. When I was 5 years old, I attended a touring production of The Lion King. Upon experiencing the opening number, I hopped up and began walking towards the stage. At which point, my mother had to intervene. When asked the question "What are you doing?" I pointed at the stage and said, "I'm going up there." I began my career in the arts at 5 years old in local children's theatre. Now, I am a graduate of the BFA Acting program at Point Park University, and I have been able to dive deep into my craft. Today, I specialize in film and on-camera work.--Dastoor
