Teruaki "Jimmy" Murakami (born June 5, 1933 in San Jose, California, USA; died February 16, 2014 in Dublin, Ireland) was an American animator and film director, best known for his live-action space opera "Battle Beyond the Stars" (1980) and his animated adaptations of Raymond Briggs' books "The Snowman" (1982) and "When the Wind Blows" (1986).
