Danny Mulheron is a prominent New Zealand director, actor, and writer whose career spans over four decades of theatre, film, and television. After graduating from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School in 1983, he gained early cult status for his collaboration with Peter Jackson on the puppet film Meet the Feebles (1989), where he served as a co-writer and famously performed the role of Heidi the Hippo. He further established himself as a master of satire by co-creating and directing the politically incorrect comedy series Seven Periods with Mr Gormsby. His work in theatre is equally significant, including directing The Motorcamp, one of New Zealand's highest-grossing stage plays.
