Crime and Punishment 1992

More than a hundred years after the publication of the novel, nothing seems to have changed in St. Petersburg. It's the 1990s. The characters we've known for a long time — Rodion Raskolnikov and Sonya Marmeladova — are forced to eke out a miserable existence against the backdrop of universal squalid poverty. Will history repeat itself again? Or will things be different in Russia in the 1990s?
