Harold Trompetero Saray was born in Bogotá in 1971. He is a social communicator from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and a publicist from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, he studied filmmaking in Cuba, Spain and France. He worked as Creative Director for three years at Leo Burnett Agency in Bogota. He has directed series and soap operas Cartas a Harrison and Amor a mil, as well as commercials, music videos and video art productions. His first feature film was Diástole y sístole, los movimientos del corazón, awarded at the Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival in 2000.
